Kalki (Photographer: Miriam)We had a rare opportunity to interview Kalki, main actress in new and unique Tamil film , done by two women - director Vijaya Padma and producer ‘Punnagai Poo' Geetha. This film brings on screen the feelings of the third sex in a realistic way. As Kalki says Love is the thing that connect us all, and for any individual the most important factor is to accept oneself, and embrace with love. During her living in Auroville she felt lots of love, and it has been a life school to her in many ways. Read more

Sarasija (Photographer: Manohar, Miriam)Cheer full spirit of butterfly - Sarasija it might be blamed for a beautiful exhibition at Pavilion of Tibetan Culture. The opening of it was an event for itself with Aurelio music and singing, and Swaram team installed wind chimes on the theme of butterflies. As Sarasija explained to us in a interview, butterfly was chosen for its symbolism - transformation of caterpillar to cocoon, and finally to fly free as a butterfly - which she can see in her life, as personal as artistic. But, however, she does follow  line of her artistic and healing work trough mandalas. Read more

Werner Gabriel (Photographer: miriam)What it started as a workshop for disabled people in merely three years overgrown to a project which tends to connect people from different countries, social and ethical backgrounds to express their creativity on a given unsymmetrical shape. Werner Gabriel, the project holder, and initiator brought this traveling exhibition to Auroville trough connections with Life Education Project and Harini. Girls from Life Education Project made a model of given shape out of cloth, and resembles on Indian woman. All 71 pieces that are on display at Gallery Square Circle at Kala Kendra until 21st of December, are indeed so different each from other, which also shows all the beauty of unity in diversity. Srini the film-maker (Photographer: Ayan)On a beautiful day in New Creation, Srini shares with us the work and projects of the “journey” that has been for him Yatra Multimedia. Through education, pedagogy and a great deal of hard work, Yatra offers to Auroville and to the surrounding villages awareness movies for children. Srini's life-long passion for visual arts is livened up by his great sense of humor, characteristic of his movies which have won awards at the 2009 Auroville Film Festival. The Auroville visual arts scene is flourishing according to Srini, and he stresses the importance of youth to reach greater cultural achievements. Read more

MarlenkaShakti works at the Auroville reception care. But aside from that she is also one of Auroville's artists. Marlenka talked to her about her painting experiences and her emotional journey with her first painting of the Mother. Being a self trained artist, Shakti talks about her accidental initiation into painting and the connection between Auroville and art in general. Media in Auroville (Photographer: Steffi)Matrimandir, Banyan Tree and all the different communities with their various focus – these things are not only popular for tourists but also interesting for journalists. More and more of them came in the recent years to report certain topics. But how can they be controlled, so that Aurovilians don't feel like guineapigs in a zoo? Steffi talked to Outreach Media, a group that takes care of journalists coming to Auroville and she asked a filmmaker about his work and his experiences with the Outreach Media Team.
