Guest tour in the Within a short visit of Engineers Without Borders from Australia Elvira introduced to them governance and working groups as a part of evolving process which should lead us to the Divine Anarchy, as The Mother named it. Elvira shortly presented history, and how the number of residents invoked the need for more formal governance in the form of a delegate system in order to interact with outer world and Indian Government. Changing process of governance is a slow one because in basically a process of changing ourselves.

The presentation made by Dorle (Photographer: Manu)Yesterday some members of the l'Avenir d'Auroville had a meeting with the residents to gather in the Creativity comunity. The aim was to update the participants regarding city development in residential sectors. The conclusion of the discussion was that the financial aspect of Auroville needs urgent attention so that the city's development can be realized. In the December issue of AurovilleToday a title resonates: Auroville Population Stagnate. Last year the residents increased by 8 members only. Some of the policies need to be looked into. Read more

Points discussed: whether to select by consensus or voting...whether an in-place study group meeting regularly might work, whether to return to the 2007 process which produced good results....another ongoing process, more challenges to face. Counting Last Decissions(votes) (Photographer: miriam)Sunny Friday afternoon, people gathered in expectation - yes, community has said (clear majority with 55%) that they would like to begin the process to replace Working Committee and Auroville Council or seek the next groups now using the old process, and that essentially are not too disturb by the old process, and that they are quiet happy for to things continue business as usual. As such the decision of Resident Assembly has been to select the new Working Committee and Auroville Council right now using the old process. Read more
