Homage mantras to Saint Tyagaraja
| In this part of India, the months December and January reverberate with musical compositions of Saint Tyagaraja, one of the Trinity of Carnatic Music. There is a belief that during this time, the main audience is the Saint himself. The musicians sing and play their compositions as their offerings and receive blessings that nourish them in their Sadhana.

Cyclone Blue
To celebrate life and overcoming cyclone was the keynote of Lively Up Your Earth eco music Festival in Solitude Farm on Saturday 28th of January. With Cyclone Blue we went down the memory lane into early 70ies, by evergreen rock songs well played and sung by amazing olny 13 years old Danny, who joined his father Amando and Matt. And it is something in known that made us at ease, so Cyclone Blue hit the dancing strings in audience and enthusiastic share of encouragement. To Joel and his team we are grateful for excellent sound.

A visit to Joy Guesthouse
At Joy Guest house, previously known as College Guesthouse, the main damage was caused by uprooted trees. Also, they have no water or electricity. Except from the working men and the people living there, the place is pretty deserted, since it is impossible of receiving guests in this condition. After the interview, on my way back to the radio, i was forced to stop since a tree was taken down to secure future safety to electricity lines.

"The third and final discussion on Live AurovilleRadio from the Auroville Film Festival action station was concluded yesterday. The participants were Uriel, Rakhal, Sagarika, Priyadharshni, Graham and Danbe. And I got to moderated it. While Graham, Uriel, and Rakhal were film making instructors, Danbe, Sagu and Priya were participants in film making workshops. I tried to get a common definition for the topic that all participants including the younger members could understand and be comfortable with.

Into the Bee Hive!
Gino in Discipline farm shows us a bee hive and explains how he became part of the project of rising awareness about the actual situation of our bees here in Auroville. Honey is not only a nourishing wonder, it is also anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-oxydant. We learn from the behavior of the bees, seeing how, all their life, they share the same small amount of space, in a community where they evolve from the job of cleaning the hive to the higher one of looking for pollen in flowers, until they attain the final goal of taking care of the Mother, the Queen Bee.

Tango can be a meditative experience
Jorge, by nationality Ecuadorian was drawn to Auroville by strong concept The Mother outlined, and as he laughing about, by the bread from Auroville Bakery. Amongst the broad array of activities he found lots of knowledge, and discovered interests that he didn't expect to, but for himself also realized that here is not only about contributing with work, but also internal, spiritual work is of the big importance, and of course in sharing the life, work, ideas with others, in the community. Beside working on the project for energy obtained from wind he also loves to teach tango, which is to him beautiful, and yet very simple dance in its core concept.

Being Human
Saturday 27 November Georges Van Vrekhem gave a lecture titled: “Being Human and the Copernican Principle”. The human being has always been considered as the crown of the evolution on Earth, and is even imaged as God. Materialistic science has, in the last three or four centuries, gradually eroded such conceptions and reduced the human from the centre of creation to an animal among animals. The view, idea, or the image of humanity as itself determines the choice of its ideals and actions.
